Belloli was principal horn at La Scala in Milan and professor of horn at the Conservatorio. A large number of his etudes for all the brass instruments are still in the repertoire. There are also extant an unpublished aria from La Sonnambula arranged for band and arias from Oberto arranged for band, both scores in the National Library, Vienna. Several chamber works for winds exist in manuscript in addition to a double concerto, for horn and bassoon, with band accompaniment, found in the Biblioteca Musicale Greggiati, Oestiglia, Italy.
